01Who we are

MIRAS is a marketing agency based at Burj Alfardan, Lusail, Qatar. In this policy, “MIRAS”, “we” and “us” mean the agency, and “you” means anyone who visits this website or contacts us through it.

We are responsible for the personal data described here. If you have a question about it, email hello@mirasmarketing.com.

02What we collect

What you send us

When you send us a brief through the site or email us, we receive what you choose to share:

  • your name and email address
  • your company, and your phone number or budget range if you add them
  • what you pick in the form, such as the services you need, and your message
  • how you found us, such as the site that linked to ours or the campaign link you clicked, if the site sends your brief to us directly rather than opening your email app.

Technical data

Like any website, the site’s hosting provider receives your IP address, your browser type and the pages you request, and may keep them in server logs for security and troubleshooting. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so Google also receives your IP address when a page loads.

Analytics, only if you agree

If we switch on visitor analytics, the site asks you first. If you say yes, the analytics service records things like the pages you visit, your type of device and the site that sent you, so we can see what’s working. If you say no, no analytics run.

Small items in your browser

The site keeps a few small items in your own browser: your language, your answer about analytics and, until you close the tab, how you arrived. They stay on your device, except that a brief the site sends to us directly includes how you arrived. Our Cookie policy lists every item.

What we don’t collect

The site has no user accounts, takes no payments and shows no ads. Please don’t send us sensitive details, such as health information or religious beliefs. We don’t need them to reply.

03How we use it

We use your data only to:

  • reply to your enquiry and talk through your project
  • prepare a proposal or a quote
  • deliver and manage the work, if we go on to work together
  • keep the site secure and working, and improve it
  • meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We only send you marketing emails if you’ve agreed to receive them.

04Our legal basis

We handle personal data in line with Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (Law No. 13 of 2016). We rely on:

  • your consent, when you send us a brief or agree to analytics. You can withdraw it at any time
  • our legitimate interest in replying to people who contact us, running our business and keeping the site secure
  • a contract, when we prepare a proposal for you or work together
  • the law, when we must keep records or respond to the authorities.

05Who we share it with

We share personal data only when we need to, and only with:

  • service providers who work for us, such as the companies that run our email and hosting, and any form or analytics service we use. They may use your data only to provide their service to us. Google, which serves our fonts (and our analytics, if we use Google Analytics), also handles the data it receives under its own privacy policy
  • professional advisers, such as our lawyers and accountants, when needed
  • the authorities, when the law requires it.

We never sell or rent your personal data.

06Transfers outside Qatar

Some of our providers, such as Google Fonts, our email and hosting providers, and any form or analytics service we use, may store or process data outside Qatar. When that happens, we choose providers that apply appropriate safeguards to protect it, and we share only what the service needs.

07How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t become projects: up to 24 months after we were last in touch, so we have the context if you come back.
  • Project records, such as proposals, contracts and invoices: for as long as the contract requires, and afterwards for as long as the law requires.
  • Items in your browser: until you clear them, except the note of how you arrived, which goes when you close the tab. See the Cookie policy.

After that, we delete your data or make it anonymous.

08How we protect it

We limit access to the people at MIRAS who need it, choose reputable providers, and take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data.

No way of sending or storing data online is completely secure. If a breach could cause you serious harm, we’ll tell you and the competent authority, as the law requires.

09Your rights

Under Law No. 13 of 2016, you can:

  • ask what personal data we hold about you, and get a copy
  • ask us to correct anything that’s wrong or incomplete
  • ask us to delete your data
  • withdraw your consent at any time. This doesn’t affect anything we did before
  • object to how we use your data, including for marketing
  • complain to the competent authority in Qatar if you think we’ve mishandled your data.

To use any of these rights, email hello@mirasmarketing.com. We may ask you to confirm who you are first. We’ll reply within 30 days.

10Children

This site is meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect children’s personal data. If you think a child has sent us their details, email us and we’ll delete them.

11Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change affects how we use your data, we’ll make it clear on the site.
